 Recepcionista – Toucan Rescue Ranch

Descripción del Puesto en Toucan Rescue Ranch

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented team player who will be the first point of contact for visitors at the office, greeting them in a polite and well-spoken manner. You will also be assigned duties as required (i.e. organization of inbound and outbound mail, administrative work, and general clerical support).

The Toucan Rescue Ranch is looking for a Receptionist and salesperson who has excellent customer service and teamwork skills. We are looking for a passionate, bilingual individual who will be the smiling face of Toucan Rescue Ranch. This position will be answering phone calls, receive guests, assist in parking vehicles, respond to emails, organizing/clean the gift shop, schedule and attend to reservations, translate documents and other administrative tasks. Personal initiative and exceptional skills will be integrated appropriately into the many different projects that occur at a fast-paced wildlife rehabilitation center.

Responsibilities

  • Host/hostess for guests by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately

  • Notifies the team about the arrival of guests, deliveries, etc.

  • Maintains security by watching the property gate and people entering and exiting the property

  • Educated about the various programs by TRR and can inform visitors by answering and referring to inquiries via email and in-person

  • Follows procedures, policies, and guidelines, update said documents when needed

  • Always keeps a safe and clean reception area, complying to procedures, rules, and regulations

  • Operates the sales ‘POS’ system efficiently and effectively

  • Primary person to answer the phone

  • Maintaining tour schedule in reservation software and calendar

  • Orders office supplies with other team members for the reception and for the Education Center’s coffee station.

  • Check payments of tours

  • Orders needed food for the tours

  • Inspects guesthouse and all details for Ranch Experience and other tours

Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Bilingual in both written and spoken Spanish & English

  • Verbal communication & listening skills

  • Professionalism

  • Excellent computer skills

  • Organization skills and cleanliness

  • Problem solving and multitasking

  • The ability to follow directions with attention to detail

  • Works well under pressure

  • A positive “can-do” attitude and the ability to work well in a team environment

  • Experience working with wildlife in a rehabilitation setting is a plus

  • Experience working with sales or retail

  • Ensuring Best Practice Implementation

  • Fostering practices that support and improve TRR’s philosophy, goals, and standards of care

  • Flexible with schedule and activities

  • Ability to enforce rules and manage people

  • Must have a tetanus vaccination

  • Proactive and Teamwork skills
